LAUNDRY!

My firend, Brian, made a short movie. It’s cool. I think he should enter it in IFP‘s monthly Cinema Lounge.

Here is Brian’s note:

The other night, around 10:30pm, I was working on a load of laundry. And as far back as I can remember, the process has always been boring, so I mixed things up a bit. I jumped into character and shot this with the help of a small tripod. It’s played to a Wilco song, and the ending scenes are a bit Spielbergish. I’m sorry to those who don’t care for him, but that’s the way it is.

I personally don’t understand what is Spielbergish about it – maybe Mr. Murnion can shed some light?

  1. Thanks Matt! I never thought of the Cinema Lounge. I’ll look into that.
And about the Spielbergish ending, it’s really small, but I felt like I was telling my audience what the movie was about (with the few words) after it should have been over. Maybe not, but that’s how I felt at the time. I was over analyzing the video.

I’ve been thinking about you guys. We should stop these long silent periods of communication.
